As Trump says he ‘hates’ Democrats, he’s echoing authoritarians (again) The president wants us to believe that his political opponents literally don’t count, are inherently unpatriotic, and are worthy of his hatred.

Presidents have often criticized their opponents, but they rarely use the word “hate” in official settings. Instead, they might say things like “oppose,” “disagree,” or “criticize.” Most of what Trump has done hasn’t been the best of anything , but he’s definitely been the worst of everything. 🔄
