I think science fiction needs a resection/excision. The old white male "fans" are a tumor on the genre. A very malignant tumor.

What do we do with tumors? Cut them out.

Conventions, stop inviting these racist, sexist, hateful people to be on panels. You know who these people are, or can find out.

What to do

1. Contact your doctor immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. Explain that you had a colonoscopy and did not wake up from the anesthesia.

I think one of the major contributing factors to the young right wing is that they didn't grow up with WWII vets.

Its all cosplay and whataboutism to them. They didn't play with kids whose parents had camp tattoos, or learn from old men who still cried from PTSD. 1/?

This is the game they're playing, folks. It was never about the content of the games they targeted, it was never about protecting anyone, it was about pushing the goalposts, weakening our protections, and ATTACKING individuals and groups they don't like.

That this comes at a time where the public as a whole has become far more cynical regarding the Tech industry - the so-called "techlash" - has only intensified their rage and frustration.

Pointing again to my thread about how everything go on in Silicon Valley right now is downstream of aging tech billionaires panicking over 2000s-2010s life extension tech research not working out and suddenly facing the fact that they may actually die
