A blue cadaver heart dissected into a half view so that the chambers are visible. Within the chambers are maggots, grubs and numerous tears and void textures. Surrounding the heart are four butterflies with wings in divided colors and with four markings on their wings. Two grubs in juxteposition one brighter colored like the veins and valves, the other dark and curled away in the right atrium. Stabbing through the heart are three medical instruments; they're style is old but they appear clean and white and more spiritual and emotional than literal. Depicted is a bullet remover, a drill, and a pair of needle forceps with a straight sewing needle. These three instruments represent the symbolism of the three of swords.
