Our party has just come third in Gorton and Denton, a previously safe Labour seat - an area where we haven't lost an election since 1931.

It is those running our party who are to blame. We need change at the top and serious lessons need to be learnt:

I was at the count in Gorton and Denton last night and we all saw Matt Goodwin eat ballot papers. His girlfriend and team begged him to stop but he kept stuffing it into his mouth and making grunting sounds like the Cookie Monster

As the analysis starts of the Gorton and Denton result, I wanted to flag some aspects that my experience yesterday suggests are being over or under-played

(Caveats - I went to Longsight, Gorton and Denton town centres and spoke to as many people as I could, but it was mostly during the working day)

Just spotted that the openly racist candidate for Tommy Robinson's "Advance UK" was beaten by the Monster Raving Looney Party.

The results:
Greens win big.
Farage/ Goodwin sorest losers in party sore losers.
Starmer gone into hiding.
Telegraph/Mail etc spin into "end of liberal democracy" wank fest.
Tories lose their deposit.
Party Elon Musk backed, Advance UK, beaten by Sir Oink A Lot.

The Reform claim of sectarian voting is so nonsensical that I can only interpret it as "Muslims shouldn't vote at all." Whether they go Labour or Green, they're not going to vote for the anti-Muslim party, lads. This is what you wanted.

Nobody here needs to be told that Reform's claims of cheating are utterly absurd but it's worth noting that the anti-Reform vote was so large that even if the Greens and Labour had split it 50/50 Reform would still have lost — in fact they would have come third. They only value democracy if they win
