said soul can also be "seen through walls". people are absolutely obscured by objects, except for the star on their chests which can still be visible. this is maybe the only advantage their vision has lmao

if two people stand in front of each other, their forms overlap, which makes it mad confusing

however theres a lot of emphasis on how they see people. they appear as actual solids (more like blurry) of color instead of just outlines, with some small shading where some details go. most prominent features are bright white eyes and a star in the center of the chest, which shows a person's soul

they see the world in outlines and little else, everything is very dark and fuzzy. the most detail they may get is that some items are slightly brighter the closer they are, but thats about it

when reviving, lost body parts are replaced with "magical" versions, that function differently from normal

El's eyes were replaced with glistening white eyes that lack any irises or pupils. their vision also suffered, leaving them with a severe, permanent visual impairment

El's corpse was left outside Crux's library to be found by the resistance, next to a box containing their eyeballs

in the library, the resistance found a book titled "life, death, and the soul", that gave them info on a revival ritual they performed to bring el back
