The main reason I was and still am fond of Beto is that despite not being the most left-wing (e.g. public option over M4A) he gave a full-throated defense of social liberalism. Even when running for TX-GOV in 2022 he spoke out for trans kids and cooked dinner for the family of one on Mother's Day.

In Chinese #folklore, the Female Tree(女樹) is a tree on the Silver Mountain in the sea that gives birth to a baby each dawn. This child can walk at sunrise, reaches adulthood by noon, ages by sunset, and dies at dusk, repeating this cycle day after day.
