My parents never forced religion on me too thankfully. My mom has always been really open minded and my dad didn’t push for my sister and I to go to synagogue lol. We just celebrated both Christian and Jewish holidays.

It’s funny because my mom had me fairly involved with the church too. I was in bell choir, an acolyte, in youth group, went to church camp retreats, went to church almost every Sunday until my mom thought I was old enough to stay home alone.

I think I just treated it as like. Summer camp lol

I don’t think I was ever in it enough to “abandon” it but I think being raised with both Jewish and Christian parents kept me from being all that attached to either. I don’t think I ever treated any of the stories as true either, I just remember thinking church was boring.
