Érdekesség:
A Pterinochilus murinusokat nem osztották külön fajokra a taxonómusok, hanem színváltozatokra osztották őket élőhelyük(Afrika)szerint. Ellenben például a Poecilotheriák külön külön fajnevet kaptak, pedig mind Indiában élnek A taxonómusok furcsák.
