P.S. I initially tried using the built-in bounce transition for tweening. But I ended up tweening each up and down motion manually so that I could play each bounce sound individually to precisely sync with each bounce.

How I animated the tennis balls in #godot - all tweens! Here's part of my garbage spaghetti code 🤭 Lots of position checks to make the ball bounce away from window edges. Bounce sound is played each time the ball "lands". Rotation is slowed after each bounce.

I downloaded this so fast! I reported a bug in the Godot github for the first time a few weeks ago, and the fix is out in this version. As a novice coder I know I can't contribute anything to the Godot codebase, but I'm so happy I got to help out a little bit as a bug tester <3 @godotengine.org

How I implemented the magic 8 ball in #godot - It was initially ridiculously large so that I could fit the pixel font for "YES" and "NO". So I put that text on a separate sprite so I can scale it separately. The highlight is on a separate sprite so it doesn't rotate along w/ the ball while rolling.

How I implemented the yarnball in #godot - The string is on a separate spritesheet, aligned with the ball spritesheet. The sprite frames have to be large enough so I can flip both ball and yarn animations horizontally while keeping the ball in the center.

How I implemented clothing in #godot - Each clothing item has a spritesheet image perfectly aligned w/ the kitten's spritesheet. Clothing can be changed by swapping the spritesheet texture. Each time the kitten's animation frame is changed, the clothing animation frame is changed.
