If tuition fees had increased with inflation since 2012 they would currently be £12,969.94 a year. If the government isn’t going to increase university funding via other means (rather than, in fact, cut it or at least refuse to raise it with inflation) then what do you want us to do???

YES. I haven’t got over ordering something with melted cheese at what I thought was a vegetarian cafe, only to be served bland disappointment where I was expecting cheesy goodness. Love a non-dairy milk in many contexts but there are limits.

I was explaining to my Ukrainian colleague the phrase ‘There’s no such thing as a free lunch’. She told me the equivalent in Ukrainian is ‘The only free cheese is in the mousetrap’ - which is so much better

I have had death threats for my work on trans rights. I have been stalked. I have had people try and have me thrown out of my University. I am by no means alone, and lots of trans-inclusive academics have spoken publicly about the violence and harassment they face. But no mention of that here.
