further leading to a lot of meandering with his current writing style, needlessly dramatic moments that don't actually lead anywhere for the characters, and such. I think he's done a lot of missing the point on what made his own payoffs strong, and it was him actually using his characters naturally.

properly care about his characters by the end. And it feels like a lot of the way he does his "journeys" are flawed now too, with him having misconceptions about what justifies the emotional payoffs he wants. It feels significantly worsened by seemingly his views on writing a serialized story (3/4)

characters really well and make them compelling, but it feels like at the moment among other things he writes things with a destination in mind, and sticks to them even if the way the story ends up panning out makes those conclusions feel unsatisfying. It sometimes makes it feel like he doesn't(2/4)
