Thanks for reading. I think when a public figure makes a claim that their city/state/country is "the best" in any particular area it's newsworthy and merits further exploration. And yes, this is the second time in two years that I've subjected the mayor's repeated claims to scrutiny.

Sometimes she says "safest major city," sometimes "safest city." She did both in yesterday's presser.
