Season 5 is looking pretty dark and grim. Hopefully we'll make it out the other side eventually.

And in that rare case, then I would welcome exceptions being made when fines are challenged. But "Some people are disabled" is not an acceptable excuse for vast numbers of cyclists mounting the pavement.

Then even more reason to not cycle on the pavement if they can't safely stop to a walking speed.

If said cyclist lacks the imagination to consider "getting off my bicycle and walking it along the pavement"; perhaps they shouldn't be trusted to be near other road users.

While I maintain an RP accent for work (so my non-British colleagues can understand me), the one place I regularly codeswitch back to my own dialect is on the train.

Something disarming about the accent that makes claiming a seat easier.
