I'm yelling in an empty tunnel known as Bluesky, about an issue that I wish can be entirely gutted, and have government officials actually bother learning about how this shit works.

The important thing about it is to maintain the momentum until some good comes out of this.
Follow all the advice that experts and freedom advocates say, and I believe we can do this.
As this public response has given me hope, and we are at war for a free internet.

But I think some people said that if Discord decides to successfully do this, then that sets a precedent for other platforms to follow.
Whether they like it or not.
Which means that NOWHERE is technically safe.
Which is why people are still on Discord and protesting in mass droves.

Plus, I've seen people scramble for alternatives, which is not a bad thing.
But I feel like that stems from an issue that there's not a solid alternative to Discord.
At least, right now.
Am I saying that you shouldn't find a backup?
No, you should.
Because that's a good thing to plan ahead.

Forgot to change one of the links in my bio to my current YT handle "@Pickelrye", so for anyone curious as to what happened with what *seemed* like my YT channel that I forgot... my real channel's just fine, broskis.

The internet should be awesome, I can listen to a lofi radio that shows people scanning government documents in one tab, and have time to watch some big events in polished indie/pirate web channels that care about what they're airing.
