Tav'ven didn't push either way. Worried for ascencion but didn't say it even once.
Astarion hit him with the staff, though- saying that Tav'ven made him this... This... Goody, mushy, kitten saving elf! So now, as a good citizen, he can't just sacrifice so many people! IT'S ALL TAV'VENS FAULT!

And maybe that he can smell if you're sick, when you last bathed, what you ate yesterday and if you get.... Excited 😏
Tav likes sniffing people. People don't like to be sniffed.
(He doesn't have secrets. He lived in Underdark so he hates them. )

No. After he was born his mother was pregnant four times and each time it was miscarriage.
His aunts blamed Tav'ven for cursing his mother so she couldn't bore another child.
