31.10.2025 02:34 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm trying to make graphs of every topic on Jeopardy, and this time I did a couple for golf. This is the list of golfers who were mentioned more than once and one a Major. Data is from PGA and J-Archive and I made the graphics in Affinity. #golf #dataviz #jeopardy

As proud as I was to add my name to the list of Utah PAEMST winners, I was disappointed to realize I will be the last. Thanks to Talia Milgrom-Elcott for including my thoughts here. And thanks to my wife for reminding me I'm too old to say I made Forbes "under 30."

Iβve been trying to study every Boxing clue that has shown up on Jeopardy! Based on my research, I decided to make three charts of what I found interesting. The data is from J-Archive, BoxRec, and IMDb. I used DataWrapper and Affinity Designer to make the graphics.
16.08.2025 04:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Man, it's bittersweet that in my last year of teaching I finally have almost every student pass the AP Physics 1 test. That new curriculum helped, but I also finally had a good system of test prep.

03.07.2025 00:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What if a college was recruiting a girl who ran a 4:30 mile, but downgraded her scholarship because she ran a 6:30 in 9th grade? That's exactly what they do with GPA, weighing your abilities from 3 years ago the same as your accomplishments today. #edusky #gradingreform
01.07.2025 05:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Some other general science channels you probably know are SciShow, Be Smart, Kurzgesagt, and VSauce, who is another creator that has taken a break to focus on his subscription business (Curiosity Box). Let me know if I missed any of your favorites! 19/19
24.06.2025 23:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The rest: 3Blue1Brown often brings Physics into his math videos. Slow Motion Guys has excellent clips for a Physics class. Other smaller Physics/Engineering channels worth checking out are Up and Atom, Alpha Phoenix, Science Asylum, Fermilab, Real Engineering, and Engineer Guy. 18/x

PBS SpaceTime is amazing for Quantum and Astrophysics, just look at any of their playlists. They used to do more questions and answers, and my physics class was featured at the end of this video! 15/x www.youtube.com/watch?v=_P1x...

Practical Engineering explains civil infrastructure, like Stabilized Earth, Water Towers, and the Power Grid with physics equations to explain what is happening. I canβt imagine teaching a unit on Pressure without his videos. 12/x www.youtube.com/watch?v=0olp...
24.06.2025 23:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Action Lab has thrived by making short clips with clickbait titles that bring people into his full videos. I really enjoy his simple experiments on Relative Motion, Mirrors, Perpetual Motion, and Infrared. 11/x www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q4f...

Since the advent of YouTube Shorts in 2021, their algorithm has pushed everything to be either 30 seconds or 30 minutes. Videos in class also arenβt as exciting for kids who watch (silent) videos on their phone most of the day, so I have to pick out the best parts. 2/x

I COMPLETELY agree on the soullessness of hotel conference rooms. Please do PD in schools on weekends/summers so I can be in a real classroom!
