Indexers: can I ask your advice? I am writing an index that needs to include the notes. Endnotes however start again after the introduction. How do I indicate in the index which section the note falls into? Is there an established convention for this? TIA for any help/advice! π

Reproducing Miracles
"Reproducing Miracles" published on 25 Aug 2025 by Brill | Fink.
Focusing on Lviv, Lublin, and Sokal, I examine how these stories intersected with local cults, visual culture, and religious politics, and how they functioned not as βsuperstitionsβ but as meaningful tools of social negotiation and cultural resilience.
Enjoy the reading!

In all the hours Iβve spent around Parson Quistβs church at Vejlby, this is the first time Iβve heard the bell. One of the coolest experiences I had on my most recent trip. [Not *the* coolest, tho. That wasnβt even in Denmark βΊοΈ

Back from v productive trip to Denmark and UK. This unremarkable hillock was one of my goals: the tinghΓΈj where SΓΈnder Djurs herredsting condemned SΓΈren Jensen Quist, parson of Vejlby, to death in July 1626. Florida Decided There Were Too Many Children
The stateβs elimination of vaccine mandates is a courageous first step toward decluttering itself of any excess kids.
'Florida is the first state to take the courageous step toward decluttering itself of excess children, but under the inexpert guidance of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., other states may follow.'

A broadsheet printed in Augsburg detailing the Pappenheim trial and execution that took place in Munich in 1600. The image shows a full-page print telling the story from the perspective of the authorities. Four woodcut illustrations show (clockwise from top left) a man dressed in late sixteenth century garb meeting the devil on a rural road, the half-naked delinquents of the trial subjected to public torture in front of viewers in a city environment, the same people on a cart being conveyed to the place of execution in the company of soldiers and clerics, and their burning at the stake. The text describes their supposed crimes including theft and robbery, but mainly doing damage to others by magical means.

30 August 1582: As if things weren't bad enough for James VI (kidnapped, held prisoner, cut off from his favourites), he now has to deal with the intervention of his insufferable cousin Elizabeth, who writes to him today. She reminds him at length of the 'small regard' he has had... 1/

lot of negativity towards AI lately, but consider :
are these tools ethical or environmentally sustainable? No.
*but* do they enable great things that people want? Also no.
*but* are they being made by well meaning people for good reasons? Once again, no.
maybe you're not being negative *enough*
