I know everyone says this but the news is so depressing in so many different ways. We really need uplift - music, poetry, flowers, birds, sunshine.

I was surprised to see The Guardian referring to 'illegal migrants' in their UK Politics stream. There is no such thing as The Guardian well knows.

Late Shift (#Heldin) what a film! Drama about nurse over a dramatic shift at a Swiss hospital. Leonie Benesch brilliant in central role. Just about holds on to reality and avoids cliche but sort of inspiring in the end. Need a stiff drink afterwards though.

Very very disappointed in the use of 'island of strangers' and 'taking back control' in Pam's speech today and also lack of mention of positive aspects of immigration. A Labour government must be better than this.
