To me it did feel like British Fallout, but Fallout 1/2 more than Fallout 3/4. More the Tim Cain thing of every quest needing a sneak & speech option, not just a combat one.
Tonally it also felt more Quatermass and post-war British sci-fi rather than the "50s USA idea of the future".
Waiting for a new vacuum cleaner to be delivered... My life is a thrill a minute.
