Palestinian Statehood must be recognised.

A year on, we remember Bebe, Elsie, and Alice, killed in the horrific Southport attack.

My thoughts are with their families, loved ones & all whose lives were forever changed. The pain of their loss is shared by a grieving community and all who believe violence must never win.

Universities are the backbone of our future.

With hundreds of jobs and vital faculties at risk in Leicester, we must demand long-term investment, not short-term cuts.

Always an honour to meet Tikhara, Bernadette & the phenomenal team at Woodleigh Community Lifeline - a sanctuary where women rebuild after trauma.

Their care is life-saving.

We must fight for funding, safety and dignity for all women.

We cannot let global powers do the same in 2025.

A society’s soul is measured by how it treats its most vulnerable.

This Welfare Bill crushes that soul. Utterly.

A proposed £2 BILLION will be ripped from the sick and disabled, hurling hundreds of thousands into deeper poverty.

I’m voting against any cuts.

Today we hosted local MP, @shockatadam.bsky.social, to our Leicester Royal Infirmary unit. The visit kicked off with a tour of our unit by Lead Nurse, Jamie Lawson, seeing the specialist facilities available and discussing his role. (1/5).

Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from my first year as your MP.

20 years on since the 7/7 attacks, we heartbreakingly remember the 52 innocent lives lossed, honour the heroes, and stand united in strength and remembrance.

Our city. Our pride. Our future.

In every corner of Leicester South, I’ve seen the power of people coming together for good.

Forever proud to stand beside them and champion their work.

Deeply saddened to hear about the London-bound plane that has crashed in India . My thoughts are with everyone affected and with the rescue teams on the ground. Sending strength and prayers.
