Een minister van Buitenlandse Zaken die in de eerste week van zijn ambtstermijn doodleuk zegt dat "het internationale recht niet enige kader om de situatie te beoordelen is." Als het dat niet altijd wél is, is er geen internationaal recht meer.

Iran has a lot democratic history that often goes under the radar.

It had a constitution, parliament, and elections from 1906 until 1953, when the US and UK overthrew the democratically elected Mosaddegh to reinstall the Shah.

That coup is itself a textbook FIRC case!
