Professor Lieve Van Den Block gave a fascinating lecture, particularly noting the need to celebrate longer living and ageing within the field of palliative care and that one palliative care solution will not fit all.

Designing better mobility support for people living with advanced illness Researchers at King’s College London are co-designing affordable, low-tech mobility devices with people with advanced illness.

Walking can be exhausting for people living with serious illnesses, and walking aids often add to the burden.

Researchers from @kingsnmpc.bsky.social & @kingsnmes.bsky.social are working with patients to redesign rollators and frames that truly support independence.
