Far too many in cycling seem to overlook Cooke's incredible contribution and achievements in the Sport. Reminder: she was 1st rider to win both Olympic & World Road Race title in same year

A story about Mt Ventoux possibly appearing in the Tour de France Femmes.

And not a single mention of Nicole Cooke riding it in yellow?

Like, come on @cyclingnews.com, what the actual fuck?

For those who have forgotten Cooke's story:

You may have heard about UK ministers' plan to double to 10 years the time needed to reached settled status in the UK. Interesting article on Ireland's (hopefully) evolving defence posture.

If true that 75% of data cables carrying up to 95% of international traffic pass through or near Irish waters, then long past time Ireland took at least some interest in protecting them.

Machine learning is a neat tool, but clearly companies are desperate to give β€œAI” credit for what human scholars accomplish in part because companies have bet the farm on the idea that human ingenuity is expendable. This historian is extraordinary and deserves the real credit.

Exactly. Partner luckily can walk to station, won't cycle for fear of losing beloved bike to theft. I'm fortunate enough to have a folding one I can take with me on train. Otherwise it's just too much worrying.

'Use public transport', they say. Trains now basically unusable if you have to cycle or drive to the station. Already the most expensive fares in Europe, you now need to factor in the cost of losing your bike or car, and who can risk that?

Ukraine keeps pulling off the modern military equivalent of jujitsu. Here Russia’s immense size is turned into a vulnerability, as its sprawling oil infrastructure is almost impossible to protect with limited anti air facilities
