It seems willfully tone-deaf to me that @sightline.org sees progressive, pro-housing leaders like me and @masonthompson.bsky.social push back on this, and their response is to assert that they know better.

It should tell you something that some of your most pro-housing, Urbanist-endorsed local electeds are pushing back on this.

Housing is needed, desperately. But we need to balance that with the need to build and keep our downtowns and commercial spaces for the amenities that our residents demand.
