Aurora borealis with star trails in northern Wisconsin (coincidentally not far from a town named Aurora).

You're not going to get much of a hike there. 😀 View is from the boat landing, maybe 200 yards off Hwy 101 and about 25 yards from the parking lot. Plenty of good hikes in Florence County, though. My first tip would be LaSalle Falls.

Hey, as long as we're building that motorsports community, let's have a couple of photos from High Limit Racing sprint cars at Wisconsin's 141 Speedway, a track I hadn't visited until my 36th season of covering racing in the state.

A Wisconsin diesel tech beat the best in Kyle Larson's sprint car series for $26,000. Why not? He just wanted to push himself against the best. Travis Arenz of Sheboygan Falls pulled off a $26,000 sprint car upset at 141 Speedway.

Not sure there's much of an auto racing presence here so I rarely share that here (self-fulfilling prophecy, right?) but this is one of those stories that transcends a particular sport. It's a win for the little guy and could be one of the feel-good stories of the year in racing.
