Repression is not something that comes "after" the movement. It is not a custodial task. Building police centers and concentration camps, rounding up workers on a farm, are also all acts of repression that we resist. They fight us, we fight them back. It's as simple as that.

We are honored to share part of our name with this piece of the greater history of resistance and hope to continue to uplift the voices of those held captive by the state as best we can.

Fire Ant Movement Defense was created as a response to the repression here in Atlanta against the Stop Cop City movement, but we have always held at our center that we are part of a long and powerful lineage of people fighting for anarchist ideals and facing the full brunt of the state because of it
