The group that's trying to place the new map up for a statewide vote did open records requests of state/local officials. And the group says they easily have enough signatures.

That, they say, should mean the new map shouldn't be in effect.

CARE StL always needs dog walkers. The dogs need to go out at least 2x each day and in the mornings, the walks get the dogs out of their kennels so staff can clean. There are other, less physical, volunteer opps there as well. They provide training for dog walkers. www.icarestl.org/volunteer

This piece seems like a fine "portrait of a human" but it does a terrible job highlighting his impact on US politics. If people did not know who Markwayne was before this, they should definitely skip this piece. They would not understand what he is about to do as head of DHS. Things will get worse.

We worked really hard in a short amount of time to make this happen. If this didn’t get on the ballot it would be injustice. I know that doesn’t matter to those in power but it matters to many of us.

I’m not sure limiting appropriations is any more likely than impeachment, and that is also a solution but was not mentioned. It’s sad that we have reached the point that a president can start any wars as long as 2/3 of Congress isn’t opposed. They’ve turned the Constitution on its head.

Not mentioned is the fact that most of the investment in Colossal from billionaires and tech bros is because of their research in artificial wombs. Colossal deextinction projects are smokescreens for the money projects. Rich eugenicists want better genetic engineering and artificial wombs.
