Having total control over an elephants bodily functions is not autonomy.
You should be truly ashamed & investigate why this is happening.

Pedro has been with us for 8 months now.

It took us most of that time to figure out he has autoimmune deficiency. Just a few days after bringing him in his 5 friends were poisoned.

We still don't have a long term plan for him as we build him up but Pedro is safe now
