Cover of Boudicca book by PC cast. With Review - Boudicca by P.C. Cast adventurous dark sad tense medium-paced Plot- or character-driven? Character Strong character development? Yes Loveable characters? Yes Diverse cast of characters? No Flaws of characters a main focus? No 4.0 Oof I don't know why I keep requesting Boudicca stories. It is not one I enjoy reading because it is so sad. That being said P.C. Cast does a great job of telling this heart wrenching tale. The characters were all very well fleshed out and felt genuine to the era. You can tell Cast did the research and wanted to pass on those findings. It is violent and goring but there are beautiful love stories woven in too. It even turns a bit sapphic toward the end, if you're into that sort of thing. 4/5 stars because it got a little too "history class" in areas and pulled me out of the story. Ell Potter was a great choice for narrator and did a fantastic job! Many thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

Any other vintage/antiques sellers get a little sad when the cute stuff sells? I don’t go anywhere that requires carrying a sparkly bead purse but I kinda wish I’d kept her.

I shipped two on the 10th, going to very close destinations on the other side of the country, both USPS. The bigger one is still “processing” here but on the other side of the city. The little one is halfway across the country already. 🤷🏻‍♀️
