With regard to this guy, every time I meet him I just think "You could simply be civil instead of what we both know you are about to do"

I met somebody today who had clearly decided to start a rumour (he often does this). It's not a rumour about me, but I would like it bipped in the nud.

Do you ever get stuff which is so annoying that you can't really put it on social media, but it definitely does belong somewhere out there... can you remind me where that is?

I now believe that the whole experience builds towards Yesterdays on the final disc. A really pivotal moment in jazz!

I am still reeling from the discovery that Murphy's is to be had in Penge. The last such place burned down.

It's certainly interesting. I can't quite believe I still live there, the only one of us still to do so. I lack a spirit of adventure, clearly.

My mum said "You must never go in the Bridge House or the Adelaide". Somebody got killed in the Adelaide and now it's a Tescos. The Bridge House now hosts a theatre and they've even got gay people in here. Penge! Welcome to the 21st century!

In what used to be one of the two roughest pubs in Penge. My first visit since the 20th century. Me and Virginia and the Murphy's. I will let you know if it all kicks off.

Very telling tonight on Question Time how much the Labour minister absolutely did not want me to talk.

Every time I even began a sentence he started to try and distract me.

It's not going to work on anyone.

I find it distressing because, until you learn to read music, you are believing somebody else: AI. Or me, instructing you. Or a video which might be wrong. Learn the dots and tell ME I'm wrong! In front of everybody else! Do it! Correct me! Read!

People think reading music is magic. It isn't. It's code, like the alphabet. If you are a singer, you sing one note at a time.
Idiots of today think you lose your own supposed magic if you learn to read music. Hmm. Tell that to Johann Sebastian Bach as he scribbled down a fresh cantata every week!

They already cheat with YouTube etc which isn't the same as the score. Don't be lazy: learn to read music. It's just like learning to read words. It's when people (famous musicians) BOAST they can't read music, you know SOMEBODY ELSE WAS PAYING FOR ALL THE STUDIO TIME THEY WASTED.

Me at choir practice today: "I just heard you say you would use AI to learn this one. Just learn to read music, you've already had years to do that, plus you will retain agency." Unbelievable. They weren't joking.
