Sadly, the Netherlands is one of the most UK-like EU countries in some respects, and this is one of them (though I do think it's not as bad as the UK).

It's an assistant professorship, so anywhere from 2 to 10 years of postdoc experience, I would say. Tenure in the usual sense doesn't exist in the Netherlands: there's a 1-year probation, after which your position becomes permanent. You're supposed to learn Dutch within 5 years.

No, seriously! pages in a spectral sequence = sheets in Excel, and the (p,q)th entry on the (n+1)th sheet is a formula that involves two entries on the nth sheet.

But I get you don't like Excel, so now you just have to reverse the logic, and suddenly you understand Excel! It's amazing! ;)

This is low-key a great way to think about spectral sequences! And it instills the same amount of fear (if not more).

Nope, not that I'm aware of. There is www.ams.org/open-math-no..., which is some kind of centralized hub, but I think your best bet when learning something is probably to search / ask an LLM to provide you with links.
