Right now, if you are not outraged and calling your representatives daily (I’m looking at you, especially in red states), you are also turning a blind eye. You are also complicit.

The thing that does shock me is the lack of accountability. Justice is never served. These stories are always swept under the rug. Families turn a blind eye, pretend it never happened, or tell the victims it never happened. Victims are frequently too frightened or ashamed to tell the tale(s).

I have spent the last 16 years working with women who have suffered trauma of all kinds, including childhood sexual abuse. The stories they tell me would make your blood boil. Sadly, nothing that has come out in the Epstein files so far shocks me since I hear these stories all too routinely.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

I am just gonna say it, these guys are completely emasculated by the knowledge that they have been out-organized by a group that is significantly made up of women, and all the bullshit call of duty nonsense is cope for their wounded egos bsky.app/profile/jeet...

A common theme among clients lately: they realize how hard they subconsciously and consciously work to avoid feeling emotions. Instead, they reflectively hold/stuff/clench them in their body.

When we work together to unwind them during a session, they feel calmer, safer, and have less pain.
