...Less than 5 months later, Lunar Module 'Eagle' landed on the Moon.

...Less than 5 months later, Lunar Module 'Eagle' landed on the Moon.

BREAKING: Artemis III will not be a lunar landing mission. It will be brought forward to a target of 2027 and be repurposed as an Earth orbit rendezvous test with lunar lander(s) - a bit like Apollo 9.
Artemis IV would be one of potentially two landing missions in mid-late 2028.

‼️BIG BAD BREAKING‼️:
Looks like March may now be OFF for the launch of Artemis II due to interruption in helium flow in the SLS interim cryogenic propulsion stage.

BREAKING: After yesterday's successful wet dress rehearsal,
NASA is targeting March 6 for the launch of Artemis II.

Caveat: Work yet to be done at the pad and the full flight readiness review is "later next week".

Last night's Artemis II wet dress rehearsal has been deemed a success.
The crew will enter quarantine TODAY!
Though no date has been set, this keeps the launch opportunities March 6-11 in play:
