What we have is a deep interest in niche topics that fascinate us. Our "Special interests". We tend to be very knowledgeable on these topics because we invest a lot of time into exploring and learning about them.

The definition of #folk music has become very distorted to be more about historical performance by professionals instead of any music by nonprofessionals.
I'm not sure any folk music made by professionals and recorded in a professional studio for the purpose of selling is really folk music at all.
