I believe the former (1:1) is the case. Things are still chaotic, so the idea of transfer to the NSA may fail, but let's see in the next few weeks.

Updates: The whole archive is preserved elsewhere and we may find a new host. The program staff is working on it. So there is no longer a rush to think about the sharing scheme for now, but I will keep you guys posted!

For now, I believe we can share some of them on a non-commercial, private, research-only "reuse" basis (instead of putting them on a server for public dissemination). Sadly the center is now being dismantled. Their website will go off at any moment. Such a great loss to scholarship and public policy. I don't know about the copyrights of the documents - I assume these are indeed copyrighted with the center despite being publicly available due to their added value

Hi thanks again for your rescue work! I just wanted to see if you got all Wilson Center Digital Archive documents downloaded. Unfortunately it seems little time is left before all the great Wilson Center databases are permanently lost. Thanks in advance for any updates!

Glad to hear you are almost done with downloading the documents! For now, I believe the best strategy is to keep them private. I am currently in touch with those who may be able to offer a server to host them once we are ready to make them available in public again.
