Re-upping one of my favorite product design resolutions this year: Don't add features nobody asked for as default behavior or as hard to disable no matter how hard marketing tries to bully me about this.

Maybe it’s a generational thing. I always associate frontier with risk and a certain amount of hardship.

I got that sense too and wondered how that message came to be phrased that way. It made me think of the old saying about the frontier“you can tell which are the pioneers by the arrows in their backs”.
