Woke up angry but sketching a dragon help calm me down. I skipped the coloring and went straight to dithering which lead to some really interesting gradients.

This started as a quick digital painting sketch and kind of… turned into this 😅
Not my favorite result, but I still wanted to share my kobold and their absurdly big axe

An RPG battle between a red kobold and a gray rock, done in the style of Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal's battle UI. The kobold is only Level 1 and has 1 HP. Their options are "YIP", "HOARD", "SHINIES" and "SCAMPER". "YIP" is highlighted by the cursor. Across is the rock, and it's Level 100.

From the cashier point of view, a kobold behind the counter is trying to pay for a candy bar. His face shows a faint smile as if worn down by life. A quiet moment in the late hours.

Hard to put into words why I draw stuff. I want to say it's fun but there is a work mindset involved. Maybe it's more like meditation?

Either way, I like experimenting and seeing what works. Sometimes it doesn't. But I rather try and fail than never attempt it.

Panel 3 Eucrite turns to look at the taller black winged kobold Kajo and says " Okay, listen, beanpole... Our dragons are probably trying to scheme to make us friends or something. Panel 4 Close up to Eucrite's face as they're frowning: "I for one, am not falling for that! And neither should you!" Panel 5 Eucrite leans wone leg up against a railing, motioning at themselves as they look very sure of himself. "I will do what I promised, though. Be honoured to have me as your guide. not everyone gets that priviledge. Kajo: nod nod

Panels 6 to 9 are a sight seeing montage. Panel 6, Eucrite is leaning over a railing above the forest canopy, pointing at something that Kajo is looking at. Panel 7, kobolds Vilu and Puddle are shown in the distance picking fruits into a big basket, as Eucrite and Kajo walk past. Panel 8, Eucrite is proudly letting Kajo sample the fruits harvested in the Roost. Panel 9, Eucrite is still talking, presumably having ranted non-stop all this time, as they're leading the way to distance, sun setting in the background.

Panel 10. Sun has set and the dragons are walking between the trees as they return. Green dragon "It's been aw hile, do you think our kobolds are getting along?" Panel 11. Dragons turn to glance at one of the tree huts where the kobolds live. Green dragon "As long as they're not killing each other, I'd be happy -" Panel 12. Kajo hushes the dragons to be quiet, as he and Eucrite are sharing a sleeping basket. Eucrite is fast asleep, snuggled up to the taller kobold, and Kajo is shielding them with his wings to keep them warm. Panel 13. Dragons smile very gleefully, covering their mouths as they hold hands. The end!

To ensure adequate enrichment, dragons sometimes set their kobolds up for playdates!

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

I'd argue with classic shell, it kicked Windows 7 to the curb. It was fast and lean as hell. I went to 8.1 and never looked back.

They're always using pretty girls in their recruitment ads 🙄

On the spot watercolour drawing of Green Street, Cambridge (with Indian ink using a dip pen). I loved the extravagant shop signs but wasn't so keen on my rendering of the Halifax Building Society sign and I don't think I ever exhibited this one. However, on digging it out of a storage portfolio I decided I liked it after all. Cambridge was a nicer place then with more character. Many much loved shops have disappeared, replaced by eateries.

One of many Cambridge street watercolours I did 30-40 years ago. Working on the spot uniquely preserves memories and feelings. The shop signs at that time in Green St were extravagantly beautiful and the passers by were sketched in quickly. Still have this one.
