My recommendation is Natsu-mon, especially seeing as it's on sale.

I think Natsu-mon is the more enjoyable game, but it depends what you want.

Shin uses the limited gameplay style of their older games but Natsu has freedom to explore with more exciting traversal options. Plot-wise Natsu is more grounded while Shin features more outlandish events and characters.

Case in point

If there's one thing I can say is objectively worse in NG4 than the rest of the series, it's enemy prioritization. I have tried to understand it but it remains a mystery to me. Platinum Games have always sucked at this, but this is the most unknowable I've ever seen it in one of their games.

This is frustrating because this means that one of two things are happening:

1) It prevent the player from controlling the fight
OR
2) It ends the player's control over the fight

When that's left up to a dice roll, I see this becoming a less enjoyable game on my journey to become a Master Ninja.

I've been in too many situations now where the enemy I've prepared for a UT is in front of the character, on camera, with the left stick pressed in their direction. And then Yakumo or Ryu will decide to dash off in an unrelated direction towards an enemy that's off-screen and out of range. wut?
