On 28 May 2000, thousands of Australians came together to walk for reconciliation. I was part of the group who walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Mission to return flat oysters to Sydney gets millions to bring 'nature back into our suburbs' Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek made the announcement on Friday as part of $107 million for urban river revitalisation projects around the country.

This project holds a special place in my heart. I learnt to swim in these waters. Every oyster filters a bathtub of water every day. The project will clean our waterways, provide habitat for sea creatures and restore our environment.
