Pitched the concept behind Synaptic Protocol yesterday to some CCU friends and they seemed stunned by the idea!

Don't expect an action game. Synaptic Protocol is about the very personal bonding rite between a mech and its pilot, and it can be played in about 30 minutes!

I have a ton on my slate but currently preparing a submission for an upcoming game jam. A mini journaling TTRPG about the bonding process between a pilot and its mech.

This morning, I experienced something I never did before: I cried while writing a game. Yes, I am an emotional creature but not to the point of crying when I write but this morning, as I was writing a single prompt, I did...

It is!

Writing TTRPGs also means researching to find out what the highest heart rate ever recorded is, and finding out that it's 600 bpm per minute and also finding out that a man died laughing watching "A Fish Called Wanda" in 1989.

Curious because I had a similar idea with the same inspirations/references :)

This is a solo journaling TTRPG minigame I'm working on for an upcoming game jam. Started yesterday and I'm about 60% done.

The entire game will revolve around a mech pilot synchronizing with its mech through memories and sensory inputs.

A game that can be played in less than 30 minutes.

I might not be the best person to summon here, as your map is already better than anything I could draw. However, in terms of style, I would suggest using a thicker brush by default. Excluding this, I think your map looks great!

Let's face it: online marketing is hard. Not impossible, but hard. We fight daily against algorithms and the endless flow of social media posts... Why not market your game IRL?

Not an easy task but when that balance is attained, you get a pretty decent TTRPG IMO.

Rules serve the story, not the reverse. The sweet spot lies where player agency, narrative tension, and elegant mechanics intersect.
