I was looking for a pen in Awdry's study (sorry Luke) when I found THIS! This is a photograph of the engine that Topham Hatt himself built in 1905! She looks quite cheery for such a jerry-rigged engine, perhaps that has something to do with who's taking the photo! (Screenshot by Rhydyronen)

Prototypes

Dudley the Vagrant Engine, a character created by the buried truck as a TrackMaster toy. He is angry and is looking to the right side of the photo, this face is based off one by jje09 over on Twitter, which was used on the model in Carson’s Video Workshop’s adaptation of the Dudley Stories.

Side profile of Dudley. He is painted black with white cab portholes with the number 63971 written on the side of his cab in white. The only other bit of color on him is his front bufferbeam, which is painted red.

Other side profile of Dudley, virtually the exact same as the previous image.

Rear profile of Dudley. Here he is entirely black, no rear red bufferbeam since admittedly I rushed through making Dudley.
