Still no reply sadly from r/mmorpg moderators to verify if I am allowed to post since the post will technically make a rule. Open to other subreddits to potentially post to if anyone has an idea.

Just sent a DM to the moderators for r/mmorpg to see if posting about the project breaks rule 6: No posting about private servers.

The details of the project are mentioned, and official developers possibly provide the source code (See previous thread posted). Hopefully, it is allowed.

Thank you again Batashock for doing the work that I should have done in the first place. I do wonder if we had gotten here any faster had I considered contacting the developers myself.

The second is most important, without peoples interest this will be pointless. If interest in bringing linkrealms back as an unofficially hosted project wants to happen we need to prove to them that people actually care. This means people need to speak up about this.

The first is less important. We might not be getting the last version of the code, its not a guarantee that we will get that latest content and bug fixes.

Batashock, who joined the discord server, managed to get in contact with one of the original developers. They have spoken to the other members of the development teamabout the idea of providing the source code for the game and servers is possible.

Thinking further into the future, I would like to work with the community on events and more. I created a Discord channel for this and will continue to update it with news and post media, such as youtube videos and screenshots, to share for those who never played.

I plan to host the very first server (if stable enough) for at least 2 years. Even if it is simply walking around and talking, with no NPC's, combat or skills. It is 1 step closer to having full revival.

Some files hosted on wayback's servers are not playing nice. For example some CSS and js files refuse to let me access. They are host on their servers and can be accessed when hosted on their servers, but they wont work when downloaded.

I want to get the last archive of linkrealms.com from the wayback machine so it can be updated with newer information. I don't really have much experience with this sort of thing so it is slow.
