Barely holding back a post about how Devs talked about a Certain Character on social media for years again...

Honestly, I should let myself be somewhat upset + angry about this because it was excessive, and it notably had an impact on the fans who wanted to enjoy this character + related pairing...

This weekend I was a guest at a convention in my hometown. I judged the cosplay contest, gave a talk, and was able to talk to many people who stopped by to chat or supported me by buying a print ❤️

I'm alive again. I've had a difficult month of a lot of stress and work, and I've decided to disconnect from social media for a bit 😌

And what I love is doing cosplays just because I like the character, not thinking about whether they have a chance in a contest.

I've been thinking about cosplay. I think I've become too obsessed with perfection for cosplay contests, and that's taken me away from my roots, causing me to stop enjoying it. That's why I've decided to put my contest projects on hold and focus on just doing what I love.

After 4 hours of waiting in line, after a bird shat on my shoe, after cement from a construction site splashed on my pants, after a steel plate almost severed my foot... I was able to be with @joeabercrombie.com a few seconds and it was completely WORTH IT.

This weekend I organized my own Expedition ✊🏼

The images are of Wrathion and Anduin from World of Warcraft. It's a commission done by @grey0295 (Grey!) for @ClaretAsh. The image to the left shows them as teens, much like their MoP iterations. They're on an adventure together, looking at a stack of scrolls they've discovered. Anduin gazes them, unfurled and in hand, while Wrathion carries the other scrolls on his back, and summons a small flame above him to aid his reading efforts. Their outfits are different than their in-game designs, and Grey has added layers, details and other things adorning them. The image on the right shows them as grown men, in elegant and detailed outfits, different from their game designs! Both are smiling and have their arms about each other. In their free hands, Wrathion carries a full goblet and Anduin carries a sword very different, yet familiar to Shalamayne. They're ready to get up to the same sort of mischief as they did as lads. "I was with you at the beginning of your journey. It is right that I should follow you to its end."

Just for fun and to take pictures. It's simple, it won't make me hot in the summer, and it's a character I find funny 🧐 A break from the grinch that I want to finish in a couple of weeks 👍🏼

I want to have the Grinch finished by December, so I can compete in Barcelona 🫩 But until then, I'll try to buy some other cosplay to clear my head and take photos, and have FUN 😭

I'm a little discouraged about cosplay. I'm working on the Grinch, and it's been crazy... Maybe I'll buy some cosplay just to take pictures 😪
