I hate to break it to you Brendan, but the indies in your feature aren't EA.

I think we all sort of owe it to each other to behave decently. I can't quite fathom why you thought this was a valuable feature, nor why you're defending it now. But it isn't a great look.

I owe a lot of my career to RPS journalists like John Walker and Alice Bell (John still supports my work). That’s why this piece is so disappointing. Not because I’m in it β€” but because it needlessly punches down at indie devs. You can do better.

Please retract it and apologise to the developers.

Really great to see you play and enjoy the game.

I've always enjoyed your work so really terrific to hear you praise it so effusively.

Also great to see you finish off all the cases. You must have had a blast.

Tim.

Streaming tonight at 8 p.m. PST. I'm rolling solo, so I think we'll do some nice, wholesome Nazi hunting with the demo for Owlskip Games' The Ratline. Looking forward to this one! store.steampowered.com/app/3756940/...

The rat line features a snoring but adorable dog. This has proved far more contentious than I ever imagined.

What do you think?

If you’re a puzzle sicko, this game is for you. It’s quite challenging without resorting to moon logic. It knows that you’re smart enough to beat it and doesn’t coddle you. Plus, hunting nazis is fun. In the wise words of Indiana Jones: β€œI hate these guys!”

Enjoying the demo of this. Nice knotty case and has that extra dramatic charge that you're hunting down Nazi scum.

The Ratline is part of this February's Steam Next Fest!

We want everyone to know about the game, which releases March 17th. It is a 10-14 hour pure deduction game that sees you hunting Nazi fugitives.

Please repost and tell your friends.

The Ratline has a launch date: March 17!

If you like deduction games like the Golden Idol games and The Roottrees Are Dead, don't miss this one by my pal @timsheinman.bsky.social!

I played an early build of Ratline and can confirm it has The Juice.

Tim has been making Rootrees-likes since before Roottrees had even been concepted. He's the quiet master of the genre and this one is all about bringing escaped nazis to justice.

This interview hit home the value of audio for my work as a reporter. For the types of stories I like to tell, the emotion of the subject is crucial. That can get lost in text. Obviously, radio has known this forever. It's just a surprise to see it in my own work.
