This is going to be a great conference!

I grew up on a diet of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark... I swear these vines covering a lamppost in Wroclaw, Poland are straight out of my childhood nightmares.

Begging for the return of the humanities and social sciences to remind the tech bros that "spitballing a few bullet points" into AI does not mean an author will write 1000 books, it means that *AI* will write 1000 books.

This volume is a labor of love that has been long coming. @graveyardarch.bsky.social has been a most astute and incredible individual to help nurture this project to completion.

It's pretty much sacrilegious to say that the social sciences and humanities are as important as STEM. But I'll go one further and say they are more important than STEM. You can be a productive member of civic society without ever taking calculus. Good luck doing that without understanding history.
