So was “second and third, nobody out, bringing in a starter who has never pitched rellef, we might lose the World Series right here” to “Game 7, let’s GO!” I have emotional whiplash.

We had fireworks too. Illegal and illogical — save them for November 5. Oh wait, that’s the other country.

Yeah, we had an 18-inning game 3 in 2018, too. It has been a fabulous series.

I was so scared, and then it was OVER! On to game 7.

ABS challenge next season, and no one should wonder why.

We had a neighborhood in Indiana that did elaborate displays & haunted houses. EVERYONE went there. Each year they had donation boxes for folks to contribute to the next year. We had student who rented one floor of a house there & we used to help them buy candy for the crowds.

I had two bowls out; I brought one in when we got home. Checking periodically to see if I need to put it back out, but it's really dead this year. Odd; usually this is what happens when it rains.

My little brother lives in a neighborhood in OR that really takes Halloween seriously. They get HUNDREDS of kids. They buy big packs of single-serving chips from Costco instead of candy. All the neighbors sit outside and visit, share food & drinks, like a big block party.

Weird that we're going to wear costumes 2x in a week! Bur DIL talked R into fancy dress for our book signing on Weds, and he said I had to play to. Good thing I have a wig, b/c I can't do Victorian hair!

No rain here, and still 60F. But no one on the street when we came home. The newer subdivision near the pub was really busy, though.

Good time at the brewpub Halloween party. Some great costumes, excellent food, nobody dancing except the children. He's Science, I'm Magic.

We have put candy out every year since getting the Savandals. They are door-darters, and opening the door to give candy just gives them an escape route. Usually lasts a few hours, then some teen grabs what's left. Tonight we went to the pub party; there was plenty left when we got home 2 hours later

Dodgers fans LOVE Mookie. So glad he won the Clemente award this season.

My British partner has recently developed a fondness for the show Wipeout, hosted by Cena and Nicole Byer (whom he adores). That's exactly what it feels like -- he likes the women he works with and they seem to like him. Respect, fondness, banter that never goes too far.

I liked 1 and 4 the most, in that order. Seeing the attribution, I am unsurprised. (I just finished Sherry Thomas's latest novel, and I was reminded again just how perfect her writing is for my taste.) And early Crusie is the best Crusie, IMO

Squee! Book release party is officially set for next Wednesday. Bonfire Night, which is VERY on brand for this novel.

I take a half for sleep, which is 5 mg. But these are formulated for sleep; more than half would really knock me out, and not in a good way.

This man is without a clue how his own constituents live. I hope they respond by putting him out of a government job.
