My own setups are works-in-progress, though I'm generally pleased with my bedroom one at this point. It just needs a few more step-shelves and some lighting. The cat room one needs the walls painted, photos/art put up, and general aesthetic tweaks (but I am still happy with the rainbow wheel).

There are three hexagon shelves with laser-cut designs at varying heights, plus multiple step-shelves, a bed at mid-level, and a hide at ground level. There's a slatted bridge currently occupied by a lazing Maine Coon at the highest level.

A very nice wall setup for a cat, mounted on cheery yellow walls. There's a pair of cats -- likely a silver tabby Siberian, and a British Shorthair -- currently on the wall. On one part of the wall, there's a plexiglass bubble enclosed in a square, obviously a bed of some sort. On the largest visible wall, there's a vertical scratching post with two step-shelves going up to a carpeted bridge, two larger shelves, and multiple more spots for cats to lounge comfortably.

I fell down the rabbit hole of joining a "Catification" group. Someone pointed out that this could be a game in the vein of Roller Coaster Tycoon x Neko Atsume, catifying spaces to attract different cat personalities. But seriously, look at these:

Yeah, the Sturdis are nice, and also a bit more difficult to clock as pet carriers unless you Know. Sadly, Gaia takes up all of hers, so I don't get to hide anything if I ever do fly with her. XD

A seal bicolour lynx Ragdoll (warm grey-brown inverted V with tabby markings, and saddle markings over a fluffy white base coat) stares imperiously at the camera from her perch on a set of pet steps. Her white ruff is magnificent, and her coat looks downy-soft.

A blue bicolour lynx Ragdoll stands on a light wooden floor, looking somewhat rumpled and not sure what just happened to him. His white chest, face, feet, and belly are all pristine, while his cool grey (blue, in cat terms) inverted V, saddle markings, and tail are uniformly clean, if slightly damp and unbrushed as yet. The floofs have been enfloofened and I survived with only minor scratches (from Alisaie, mostly, which, valid).

They've not been brushed out yet, because only Alisaie likes brushies and she hates the bath and dry, so everyone is pretty much at the same level of, "NOPE!" regarding further grooming.

Not to say people don't get impatient, but the sprout tag generally earns you a lot more leeway, and many people take joy in helping a sprout get through story content. There are systems in place (Wondrous Tales second chance points is one) where people get rewarded for helping, so it's systemic.

Really the solution is if you're tired of it and don't like playing anymore, you can stop. That's what I did, I took a break when I wasn't having fun anymore and wanted something else that wasn't XIV. But I crave XIV again, so I'm playing it again. You'd think it'd be that simple for everyone.
