I see you as a leader and would vote for you but I can totally understand not being able or wanting to run for public office.

If I could go back in time 25 years, I’d have applied for this fellowship. Incredible mentorship and experience. @jamanetworkopen.com has a similar fellowship with applications opening soon.

The battery Spencer deck on the other side of the bridge is probably the best way to see it (as an ex Sacramento valley resident who would have driven from the north).

Gen Zers in my PC building discord yelling at users to stop wasting water any time AI generated photos are posted. I’ve now adopted their framing.

I would be more than happy to let chat bots and image generators burn though I probably don’t grasp what the consequences would be.

A new NEJM study reports results from a phase 1 trial of a Lassa virus vaccine, a recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus vector engineered to express the Lassa glycoprotein (the same platform as the approved Ebola vaccine, ERVEBO). It was safe and immunogenic.

Ξ²-Lactam vs Non–β-Lactam Antimicrobial Prophylaxis and Surgical Site Infection This cohort study compares risk of surgical site infection among patients treated with Ξ²-lactam vs non–β-lactam surgical antimicrobial prophylaxis.

In this cohort study of 348,885 patients who underwent 1 of 10 major surgical procedures, non–β-lactam SAP was associated with 1.8-fold higher odds of SSI #IDSky #AMS

An argument *for* beta lactam use for SAP, and also for delabeling of inaccurate PCN allergies...

I saw so many happy Bluejays fans at Rogers stadium in August and again in Paris earlier this month. You guys should be proud whatever the outcome.

He’s super proud of his cognitive decline/dementia screening MMSE result. I actually would be surprised if they didn’t give him some hints and wait the proper amount of time for memory testing.

this entirely misses the point. MAHA grifters are rarely the people who get sick and die from their lies and wellness scams. it’s vulnerable people who suffer the most β€” especially children

Napoleon’s assault and retreat is immortalized in the greatest data visualization of all time (h/t Edward Tufte). Minard’s map shows the march on Moscow in brown, and the retreat in black. The width of these lines is the size of the army. They were already decimated before they reached Moscow.

Not just CDC; also FDA, dept of Ag, and other scientists that work on infectious diseases in humans and animals.

You know who doesn’t skip the European Infectious Disease Meeting (ESCMID)? The European CDC. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

A reason why that meeting got big studies, big speakers, big attendance.
