When the Enterprise was taken over by pirates, the exiled Pike and his crew came back an hour later having taken over the pirates ship in return. His opening statement to them: "I'm only going to tell you this once: get the hell out of my chair." Chills.

First time watching, in honor of #internationalwomensday, because I support women's wrongs. I don't know how I've never seen this.

That's the hurdle for every writer! I always thought my big break would be the 1-⭐ review on Goodreads. That means someone who wasn't my friend/family read my book and didn't give a fuuuu about my feelings. My writing had broken containment and a stranger had found it! The only bad review I liked. 😁

I may be remembering this wrong, but I saw someone say that to save history, time travelers should ignore Hitler and kill Henry Ford before he invented the internal combustion engine.

There was a Legends of Tomorrow episode about how so many time travelers went back to try and stop him, leading to his mishaps, that a traveler bar was established nearby. But also no matter what they did he still succeeded.

What's funny is they did that for no reason, and today Seth said there won't be another season because the show is too expensive and they can't possibly think of a way to do it cheaper. Maybe don't do AI mannequins for no reason...?

I'm not a superhero. But apparently I have nerves of steel when it comes to dogs. One just charged me across the street, ignoring its owners, barking the entire way. I didn't tense, run, or even speed up. I just looked down at it. It stopped just inside biting distance and fell back.

I used to watch Stargate SG-1 in syndication at 1am after SNL. One night I watched, episode ended, clock switched back to 1am before I could turn off the TV, and a different episode started. I shrugged and sat back down. But that was the GOOD daylight savings.

Spotify offering me stupid video podcasts every time I open the goddamn app is like walking into Taco Bell and having someone jump in front of me to ask if I want some spaghetti.

Rod Serling was out here writing prescient, important stories that are timely 70 years later, and he thought it was all bad and no one would remember him once the show ended. Somehow it comforts me to know he felt like that too, even though I know I'm not writing the Twilight Zone over here. 😁
