Well that explains why our stove and water heater were natural gas and not our heating system.

Also while it’s a minority of houses there is a significant number in MA that use fuel and it’s not just rural. We’re in an inner suburb and it’s quite common.

We switched from fuel oil to heat pump in MA! There is a pretty robust state program to help people switch BUT our electricity prices are insane so people are hesitant.

Videos are circulating that appear to show a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement SUV running over a man’s legs as agents detained him Thursday in Vancouver. Jose Paniagua Calderon was detained by ICE in front of El Antojo restaurant at 2505 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., according to multiple eyewitnesses who contacted The Columbian and videos posted online. Video obtained by The Columbian shows a man screaming in pain when a silvery-gray Ford SUV drives over his right leg as he was being detained by ICE.

Vancouver police sent out a Friday news release about the incident. “Based on the information regarding a vehicle that is alleged to have struck a person within the city limits of Vancouver, per our policy, the Vancouver Police Department will be conducting a traffic investigation to determine the facts,” the news release states.

An ICE agent drove over a guy and local police are referring to it as a "traffic investigation."

American culture: we have to be “tough on crime,” unless it’s a driver—they should be able to do anything they want at any time they want with no repercussions, even if car deaths and injuries are the most dangerous part of our society!
